Story:
It was pretty tough ! I was already illustrating my comic within my home, but the part I really struggled with was suddenly not being able to vend or work at conventions anymore. A lot of my outreach and connection comes from being out and about, talking to people at my table. Not being able to do that for a few years was really soul-crushing and hard for me. I felt like my world got a lot smaller, and I wasn't able to see my friends and peers anymore. I did end up getting very invested in making my comic, which I am incredibly grateful for. Being stuck inside a lot gave me a good amount of time for introspection and trying to grow my skills.
Biography:
I began my humble art career by doodling Shoujo in elementary school classrooms instead of doing math. Inspired by bright colors from the Southwest, my mastery of drawing girls kissing has earned me accolades illustrating children's books (From Here and Queer), an ongoing Polyamorous Sapphic webcomic (Pink Sugar), and multiple lovers.
Currently, I am developing the story and art for a series of graphic novels titled Pink Sugar. My artwork can also be found in a small number of various books, such as Katy Swalwell's Amazing Iowa Women, and Amazing Iowa Athletes on the shelves of RAYGUN in Des Moines, Iowa. I have a few conventions and art shows under my belt, including Emerald City Comic Con, Rose City Comic Con, Sakura Con, Galaxy Con, Anime Iowa, MCBA Comic Con, Market Day Iowa, and many more.
